Poppa Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026

The short version

Poppa itself collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no score, no leaderboard, and it does not send anything to any server run by Lynetech. There is no server. Everything the game remembers is stored only on your own device.

Poppa does include two Google services that do process data: Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), which shows the advertisement on the title screen and the optional rewarded advertisement, and Google Play Billing, which handles the optional tips. This policy explains what those do, because that is the honest answer to "what does this app collect".

Advertising in Poppa is configured as child-directed, whoever is playing. The app tells Google's advertising SDK to treat every request as directed to children, which turns off personalised advertising, and it caps advertisement content at the "General audiences" rating. Turning on the screen lock — a button on the title screen — locks the screen and puts an adult check in front of anything that spends money. With the lock on, Poppa opens straight into the bubbles and the title screen is never shown, so the only advertisement in the app is not reachable at all.

Who we are

Poppa is published by Lynetech Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. For anything in this policy, contact info@lynetech.com.

What Poppa stores on your device

Poppa saves a few small files in its own private storage on the device. They never leave it, and they are not personal information — they only record how you have set the app up:

The play history never leaves the device. It is written to Poppa's own private storage, it contains no name, account or identifier of any kind, and nothing in the app sends it anywhere — there is no server to send it to. Uninstalling Poppa deletes it along with everything else.

Uninstalling Poppa deletes all of it. There is no account to close and nothing for us to delete on our side, because we hold nothing.

What the Google services collect

ServiceWhat it is forWhat it may process
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) The banner advertisement on the title screen, and the optional rewarded advertisement in the Support panel. Device and advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions with advertisements. Shared with Google as an independent third party.
Google Play Billing Processing an optional tip. A record of the purchase. Payment details are handled entirely by Google Play — we never see your card or bank details.

Both are operated by Google under its own terms. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Poppa contains no analytics, no crash reporting, and no push notifications. There is no Firebase, no advertising network other than Google's, and no third-party software development kit beyond the two above.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because the app does not collect personal information at all.

Poppa is a bubble toy with nothing to win, and it is simple enough that children may well be among the people playing it. So, whoever is holding the phone, Poppa:

If you believe a child has provided personal information through Poppa, contact info@lynetech.com and we will look into it — though, as above, the app has no route by which that could happen.

Your choices about advertising

Where privacy law requires it, Poppa shows Google's consent form before advertising is initialised, and — where Google indicates it is required — the app offers a way to revisit that choice later from within the game. You can also manage advertisement personalisation and reset your advertising identifier through your device's own Android settings.

Leaving a tip switches the banner advertisement off for thirty days. That is a convenience, not a data setting: it changes what the app shows you, not what Google's advertising software does.

Purchases

Tips in Poppa are optional and consumable. They exist to support development; they do not unlock gameplay, because there is nothing in Poppa to unlock. Purchases are processed by Google Play, and refunds follow Google Play's own policy. Because tips are consumable, the record of one is not retained by Google Play as a restorable entitlement — so reinstalling the app or moving to a new device ends any remaining advertisement-free period.

Data transfers, retention and rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to transfer, retain, or delete. Data processed by Google under the services above is retained and transferred according to Google's own policies, which are linked from its privacy policy.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal information held about you. Requests relating to data processed by Google should be directed to Google. For anything relating to Lynetech Ltd, contact info@lynetech.com.

Changes to this policy

If Poppa changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The current version is always the one published here.
